Shipping guide

How to measure your parcel, calculate its volume, and choose between sea and air freight — so your shipment holds no surprises.

How to measure a box or an appliance

Always in centimeters, at the widest point of each face — packaging included.

HLl

L (length) the longest side, seen from the front.

W (width) the depth, perpendicular to the length.

H (height) from the ground to the highest point (feet, handles or packaging included).

For an appliance still in its original box, measure the box directly. Without packaging, add a few centimeters of margin for protection.

Volume and volumetric weight calculator

Sea freight is billed by volume (m³), air freight is billed on whichever is higher between actual weight and volumetric weight.

LCL or FCL, how to choose?

LCL — Groupage (Less than Container Load)

Your shipment shares a container with other shipments. Billed by volume (m³), it's the most economical option for a few parcels up to a few m³ — ideal if you don't have enough to fill a whole container.

FCL — Full Container Load

An entire container reserved for your shipment, from departure to arrival, with no sharing. Faster (no wait for groupage) and more cost-effective per m³ once your volume is large enough.

What about air freight?

Unlike sea freight, there's no container to choose for air freight — your parcels are consolidated with other shipments by the airline. Two options: standard (a good balance of speed and cost) or express (the fastest, for what can't wait). The price is calculated on whichever is higher between actual weight and volumetric weight (see the calculator above) — which is why a bulky but light parcel can cost more than expected by air.
